The oriental persimmon is native to China, it spread to Taiwan where it has been cultivated for more than 300 years and developed additional different cultivars.
Fruit large. Resembles Fuyu, but more truncated and squarish in cross-section. Skin orange-red. Flavor and quality excellent. Season: October ~ and November.
It is a variety of sweet Japanese persimmon which was introduced to Taiwan in the period of "Japanese occupation". It's also one kind of nonastringent varieties (Pollination constant non-astringent,PCNA).
Medium-large oblate fruit, faintly four-sided. Skin deep orange. Flesh light orange, sweet and mild. Season: November ~ and early December.
