Jujube, Indian jujube, originating in India, Myanmar and China, Yunnan area,  it and the deciduous fruit Chinese date (for processing black dates or red dates) belong to different species.

In ancient Chinese books have said: "daily have three jujube, longevity", so the Indian jujube by the ancients known as longevity fruit.

No investigation for when has been introduced into Taiwan, but known that the cultivated in the Japanese era. Species diversity, nutrient-rich, its vitamin C content is higher than lemon, and has super antioxidant capacity.
